On August 24, a festive event dedicated to Ukraine’s Independence Day was held in the bomb shelter of Zaporizhzhia Abrasive Plant.

The ceremony began with a moment of silence in memory of all defenders who gave their lives for the freedom and sovereignty of our country.

Chairman of the Board Igor Burak and his Deputy Pavlo Zhludenko congratulated the plant’s team on the occasion. To mark this significant day, 50 employees of the plant were honored with certificates of appreciation and monetary awards.

A special highlight of the celebration was the performance of Taras Bovorok — Ukrainian colonel, producer, singer, and songwriter. His patriotic song “Bayraktar”, written at the beginning of the full-scale invasion in 2022, gained worldwide popularity as a symbol of Ukraine’s resistance.

During the concert, the audience received a unique surprise: Taras Bovorok presented a new song, “Polishing Life”, dedicated to the work and people of Zaporizhzhia Abrasive Plant.
