Boron nitride has a unique combination of properties that make it ideal for use in various applications, including high-temperature and high-pressure environments.
One of the most essential applications of boron nitride is as a thermal conductor. It has excellent thermal conductivity, second only to diamond, and can operate at temperatures up to 2000°C in an inert atmosphere. This makes it an ideal material for use in high-temperature applications such as furnaces, heat exchangers, and aerospace components.
Boron nitride is also highly resistant to chemical attack, making it an excellent material for harsh chemical environments. It is used to produce crucibles, liners, and other components used in chemical processing and manufacturing.
